With Spring arriving in a few weeks, now would be a great time to explore ways to preserve graphite material and get the most extended life possible from your investment. Below are four ways to ensure the longevity of graphite materials:

1. Temperature: Artificial graphite should be stored in a cool and dry place, preferably at room temperature. Extreme temperature fluctuations should be avoided, as they can affect the structure and properties of the material.
2. Moisture and Humidity: Graphite is hydrophobic and repels water. However, prolonged exposure to high humidity or direct contact with water can lead to oxidation or degradation of the material. It is important to keep artificial graphite away from moisture and ensure proper packaging to prevent moisture absorption.
3. Contamination: Graphite is susceptible to contamination from dust, dirt, oils, and other particulate matter. To protect it from external contaminants, it is advisable to store it in sealed containers or packaging.
