What EDM Solutions does Graphel specifically offer?

The Team at Graphel has been machining graphite and metallic electrodes for 50+ years. We offer our customers services and support for material selection, electrode design & blueprint creation, machining, EDM tooling and fixture design & build, and full inspection capability and reporting.

Can Graphel help improve our processes and quality on-site at our location?

Absolutely. We have partnered with many of our customers and our team has traveled to their location to help improve their processes, lower total operating costs, and improve their overall quality.

Does Graphel have the capability to machine metallic electrodes?

Yes. We machine thousands of electrodes out of copper, copper tungsten, silver tungsten, and other materials.

Does Graphel ever use Wire EDM to manufacture electrodes?

Yes. Graphel has five wire EDM machines in house that we use to wire EDM both graphite and metallic electrodes.

Does Graphel offer Wire EDM services to their customers?

Yes. We offer our customers Wire EDM services on a regular basis when they need additional capacity. Our customers utilize this capacity regularly.

How can Graphel help with the correct material selection for our application?

Graphel has team members with experience in selecting raw material and manufacturing the EDM graphite we currently machine from our vendors. We understand the complete make-up of EDM graphite, what the unique characteristics of each grade are, and how the characteristics will support and enhance performance in each different application.

Does Graphel carry materials for applications that are not EDM related?

Yes. Graphel stocks materials for high temperature & heat-treating applications, hot pressing dies, graphite molds, and fixtures.

What tooling and fixturing services does Graphel offer?

Graphel can offer a complete package of tooling & fixtures for your EDM requirements. We manufacture electrode holders, workpiece fixtures, electrode pre-setters, and inspection fixtures (ie, Go, No-Go gages).

Can Graphel help us design the holders and fixtures that we need?

Yes. Graphel has complete design services and has full capability to create blueprints for any tool, fixture, or workpiece.

Is Graphel the largest EDM graphite and electrode supplier in the United States?

Yes. Our focus has been EDM for many years which has driven us to put time and resources into this market and become experts in EDM. We are the leading supplier of machined EDM electrodes and ground blanks in the United States for aerospace, medical, tool & die, power generation, and plastic injection molding.

Does Graphel serve other markets besides EDM?

Graphel began several years ago to branch out into addition markets such as medical, heat-treating, high temperature heating, graphite molds and dies.
